Tasting Notes

Berg Rottland

2015 - Berg Rottland Riesling GG trocken
Opulent nose with ripe apples, citrus and floral notes, also yellow stone fruits like apricots and yellow plums. Especially the floral elements are in great harmony with the flint minerality notes. On the palate a very powerful and still elegant mix of opulent ripe fruits, great minerality and an acidity that gets crisper every second on the way. Very deep and very long. Finishes with this floral-apple-flint-citrus mix that nobody else has. Great Rheingau Riesling!

Nusbrunnen

2016 - Nussbrunnen Riesling GG
Comes with a sweet, herbal and spicy nose and a very special fruit mix of ripe pear, peach, passion fruit and even raspberry, fresh tabacco adds to it. On the palate dry with lots of minerality, powerful acidity, broad range of spices. Finishes with a great mix of spices and ripe fruit elements.

Schloss Reichartshausen

1994 - Schloss Reichartshausen Riesling Kabinett
Clear and golden in the glass with a ripe nose of honey, caramel, herbs and ripe gooseberries, nice spicy element as well, seems to be smooth. On the palate a great mix of racy acidity, smooth fruit body, great spices with nice aging notes of caramel and orange peel, slightly smoky. Finishes fresh and clean, candied citrus elements and nice smoky herbs. Wicked experience!

Others

2018 - PetNat Riesling
A natural wine that is bottled unfiltered prior to fully completing its fermentation. That allows carbon dioxide to be produced by the natural sugars in the grapes. The result is actually a lot of fun! The nose is fresh, citrus and apple notes with a lot of yeast. Fizzy mouthfeel with fresh acidity, lot of ripe apples – yellow and red – with refreshing acidity. A fun summer drink!
