Idig

2018 - Christmann Idig Riesling GG
Spicy nose, noble and powerful, elegant and with huge presence. On the palate almost a bit unbalanced still, much pressure, great power, deep spiciness, stones, already a bit creamy. Mineralic, intense, powerful finish. Huge aging potential in this one, a bomb in five years, life-changing in ten.

2016 - Christmann Idig Riesling GG
Amazing elegance and precision, in the nose the limestone minerality and the wood accompanied by white flowers, apples, pears, nuts. On the palate really smooth, majestic, perfectly creamy and joyful at the same time, perfect acidity, greatly balanced. A king of 2016s GGs!

2011 - Christmann Idig Riesling Auslese
It is such an incredible mixture of banana, cherry, pepper, apricots, cloves, plum and a very soft petrol flavor. We have never tasted anything similar.

2007 - Christmann Idig Riesling GG
In the nose a beauty of complexity, beautiful spices from the limestone minerality, typical exotic notes but also some white fruits like ripe pear, slightly smoky, aging hints with beautiful honey and a bit of caramel, citrus elements. Smooth power, elegant complexity on the palate, fantastic minerality, great spiciness, juicy and opulent but at the same time very direct and clear, powerful acidity, ripe and smooth. Endless finish with spices, dried pineapple and grapefruit peel. 

Meerspinne

2018 - Christmann Meerspinne GG
Lively, fresh citrus-style nose, elegant fine minerality. Crisp acidity with multiple citrus notes of white grapefruit, lime and lemon, also green apples, amazing freshness. Fine-spicy finish, slightly salty, super animating.

Reiterpfad

2018 - Christmann Reiterpfad-Hofstück GG
Stony-mineralic nose, beautiful spiciness, dense herbs, soft fruit notes of peach and yellow plums. Enormous fineness and elegance, already very open and fun to drink, great freshness, crystal clear with fine spices and herbs. Mouthwatering finish with many spices.

2015 - Christmann Reiterpfad Riesling GG
It is an unbelievably precise wine, in the nose decent but very nice minerality, some flavours of peach, apricots and passion fruit, slight herbal elements, on the palate very broad with a straightforward acidity, fruit flavors from the nose are added by some citrus elements, clear and long lasting. 

2007 - Christmann Reiterpfad Riesling GG
It has great minerality and decent fruitiness in the nose, it comes a bit heavy, but quite rounded up with elements of caramel and some floral notes, on the palate a bomb with salty minerality, herbal notes, slight melon, very soft, dense and long lasting. Great one!  

Biengarten

2018 - Christmann Gimmeldinger Biengarten Riesling (Erste Lage)
Very beautiful herbal-spicy nose, white pepper, coltsfoot. On the palate a fresh acidity, very nice spice notes, gooseberries, green apples, unripe plum. Long pepper-spicy finish with slightly salty, mouthwatering style.

Spiess

2018 - Christmann Ruppertsberger Spiess Riesling (Erste Lage)
Floral, fine fruity freshness, unripe stone fruits, plums and apricots. Very fine, super elegant, slowly comes the deep spiciness and a racy acidity which both seem to stay forever afterwards in a long, elegant finish.

Ölberg

2018 - Christmann Königsbacher Ölberg Riesling (Erste Lage)
Fresh, smooth, slightly floral, light pepper nose with great herbs. On the palate herbal-spicy racy acidity, great freshness, lots of pressure, deep spiciness with multiple minerality layers. Racy-spicy finish, super long and present.

2013 - Christmann Königsbacher Ölberg Riesling (Erste Lage)
The nose is super elegant and juicy, limestone minerality, honey, floral notes, donut peach, ripe pineapple, banana. On the palate elegant but very present acidity, lively and vibrating, exotic fruit notes of pineapple and passion fruit. Finishes very long and vibrant with lots of grapefruit style acidity. A great wine! Especially with five years of aging it is now perfectly balanced.

Kapellenberg

2018 - Christmann Gimmeldinger Kapellenberg Riesling (Erste Lage)
Fresh nose, smoother than other Christmann wines, slightly smoky, lot of herbs and spices. Lively acidity, lot of energy and freshness, great acidity-spice-balance. Citrus and grapefruit peel finish, long and slightly salty.

2011 - Christmann Gimmeldinger Kapellenberg Riesling (Erste Lage)
In the nose you can feel the great almost flinty limestone minerality, beautiful spices mix with with ripe yellow stone fruit notes of peach and apricots, also ripe mango and citrus elements, deep smoky notes. On the palate crisp and fresh acidity, ripe fruit notes, beautiful spiciness. Finishes spicy-fruity, with pepper and flint notes, everylasting long and super creamy.

Hohenmorgen

1999 - Christmann Hohenmorgen Riesling Beerenauslese
Still so many layers of fruit from strawberry to peach, from plum to cherry, very fresh acidity, a kings and queens wine.

Ortswein

2018 - Christmann Königsbach Riesling
Fine, cool, noble nose, modest and still complex with lots of herbal notes. On the palate smooth and elegant, acidity fresh and crisp and well integrated, fine minerality, green apples, gooseberries. Long fruity-fresh finish.

2018 - Christmann Gimmeldingen Riesling
Fine herbal nose, pepper, nutmeg, coltsfoot. The palate starts elegant, super smooth, herbal note, green fruits especially unripe gooseberry. Mineralic, spicy finish, long and mouthwatering. Amazing quality for this price position.

2018 - Christmann Ruppertsberg Riesling
Elegant nose, with pepper and slight wood notes, more on the floral and fruity end in the whole collection, yellow stone fruits, unripe apricots. On the palate grapefruit peel, spices, stones and multiple herbs. Racy-spicy finish, everlasting long.

2018 - Christmann Neustadt V. Riesling
The new project of Christmann, produced for the first time and already very promising. Fresh-fruity nose, slightly floral, donut peach, ripe citrus notes, nice spices. Fine, dense structure, beautiful spiciness, very smooth and creamy already. Finishes very harmonic, fine and still powerful. Very promising.

Gutswein

2018 - Christmann Pfalz Riesling
Wonderful basis for a strong collection. Great fresh nose, super inviting, nice fruit, pepper style minerality. Fresh crisp acidity, racy spiciness, all super elegant. Citrus, lemon style finish with nice white pepper notes.

2017 - Christmann Pfalz Riesling
Fresh inviting nose with pepper spices from the limestone minerality and a beautiful fruit mix with peach, ripe apple, pear and some melon, also citrus and floral elements. On the palate great minerality, lively acidity, herbs and ripe fruit body, quite complex and super juicy. A beautiful citrus peel, orange zest, mineral finish. If you want to drink a great wine for a low price this is your choice.
