Tasting Notes

Würzburger Stein

2015 - Würzburger Stein Riesling GG
The nose is based on spicy minerality, fruit notes of slight stone fruits and orange, on the palate very dense, complex structure based on a very direct minerality from limestone and flint element, straight spices, very powerful and deep, the finish is quite smooth.

2015 - Würzburger Stein Riesling Auslese
The nose is very floral and fruity with exotic fruit notes of mango and passion fruits, on the palate the acidity is fresh and lively, grapefruit notes add to the mineral body, a luxury Auslese!

2011 - Würzburger Stein Riesling GG
It is a very mineralic riesling with crisp acidity and a silky finish. Very deep, complex and long. Orange and citrus zest. It is elegant and powerful at the same time.

1992 - Würzburger Stein Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese
We have never seen such an amazing color! This is still a Riesling, but it is darker than every #cognac we have ever seen. In the nose smoky chocolate, wood, raisins and licorice. On the palate a smooth and creamy chocolate liquor with raisins, caramel, licorice, fruit notes of apricots and grapefruit, spicy elements of caraway, cumin and pepper. Long spicy and smoky chocolate finish. Unbelievable!

Iphöfer Kronsberg

2016 - Iphöfer Kronsberg Riesling Erste Lage
The nose comes fruity with apple, pear, yellow plums and a very nice minerality. On the palate the acidity is deep and very well integrated, spicy and lively minerality, juicy and powerful. Finishes with spicy minerals and lemon peel.
